Irish motorbike racerr Louis O’Regan, 43, tragically died on Sunday following a crash during the Manx Grand Prix qualifying session, race organizers confirmed. O’Regan, who lived in Didcot, England, was an experienced competitor at the Manx Grand Prix, first participating in 2013 and achieving his personal best lap speed in 2019 at 114.7 mph.

The accident occurred at Kate’s Cottage during the opening session, and organizers expressed their condolences to his partner, Sarah, and his loved ones in a statement. The Manx Grand Prix also confirmed his passing in a separate post on X. The race, held annually on the Isle of Man, started on Sunday and runs until August 26.
