The suspects who planned an attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna aimed to kill “a huge number” of people, according to CIA Deputy Director David Cohen. Speaking at the Intelligence and National Security Summit, Cohen revealed that the plot, which targeted tens of thousands of fans, was thwarted thanks to intelligence shared by the CIA and its partners.

Three suspects, aged 17, 18, and 19, have been arrested in connection with the plot. The 19-year-old, an Austrian citizen, was found with bomb-making materials and later confessed, indicating he was radicalized by ISIS and intended to carry out a suicide attack at the concert. Following these arrests, Swift canceled three sold-out shows in Vienna that were expected to draw over 150,000 fans.
