Lady Gaga recently shared details about her proposal from Michael Polansky during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! The singer revealed that Polansky proposed right after her birthday while they were on a rock climbing trip. Although Gaga had expected a birthday proposal, Polansky waited until after they climbed to the top, later asking for permission to propose as they walked back to their room. Gaga described the moment as “super cute,” noting that he kept the ring in his backpack.

When asked why Polansky didn’t propose at the top of the rock, Gaga said it was a smart, safe choice. She also mentioned that he didn’t get down on one knee, but she appreciated his modern approach. Regarding wedding plans, Gaga hinted that they might keep it low-key by eloping at a courthouse and celebrating with Chinese food, though she joked it could easily turn into a grand event.

The couple has been together since 2020, first going public during the Super Bowl in Miami. Polansky, a tech investor and entrepreneur, runs charities and businesses for Facebook co-founder Sean Parker.
