Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Announce Engagement on Instagram

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged, and they made the announcement on Tuesday through Instagram. Swift was playfully honest in her caption, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” with a dynamite emoji. The post was made almost 2 years after they started dating, which started after Kelce’s unsuccessful attempt to give Swift a friendship bracelet while she was on an Eras Tour around the country, and Kelce was playing in Kansas City.

That did not go well. Swift, who was a guest on “New Heights,” the podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason, a former center for the Eagles, said that Kelce made no plans with her team or a backstage rendezvous. “He came with Pat [Mahomes], and he thought that because he knows the elevator lady, he could go talk to her about just getting down there.” Swift said. “That’s how it works in 1973. He was really like, ‘I know a guy; I can get it done.'”
