Billy Joel has postponed his tour for four months due to a medical condition, announcing on Instagram that he is recovering from surgery and will undergo physical therapy under medical supervision.

“While I regret postponing any shows, my health must come first,” Joel said. “I look forward to getting back on stage and sharing the joy of live music with our amazing fans. Thank you for your understanding.” Though he did not disclose specifics, he is expected to make a full recovery.

Eight shows have been rescheduled, with all tickets remaining valid. The tour is set to resume at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on July 5. Fellow musician Debbie Gibson shared support on Instagram, saying, “Sending my hero all the best vibes for healing. Health is first.”
