Kathy Williams, mother of missing Broadway dancer Zelig Williams, made an emotional plea at a news conference, begging for help in finding her son, who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Zelig, 28, known for his performances in Hamilton and MJ the Musical, was last seen leaving his mother’s South Carolina home on October 3.

According to the family, a friend in New York received an SOS alert from his phone that day, indicating a possible car crash. However, his car was found without signs of a crash near Congaree National Park, about 17 miles from Columbia. The family believes Zelig may have stopped taking his medication before his disappearance, leaving him vulnerable and possibly in distress.

In a family-released photo, Zelig Williams, 28, is pictured (yellow hoodie). He has been missing since October 3, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott urged anyone with information to come forward, stating that the community may hold the key to solving the case. Zelig’s mother, who lost her two daughters in a 2004 car accident, broke down, pleading for her son’s safe return: “It’s just me and him. I want him home.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 803-576-3000 or Crime Stoppers.
