Cardi B and Stefon Diggs Welcome Their Baby Boy

Cardi B is now a mom of four after giving birth to a baby boy with NFL star Stefon Diggs (New England Patriots) – and her team has confirmed the arrival on Thursday. Although details regarding the baby were not released publicly, the confirmation represents the start of a brand-new chapter in what has already been a very transformative year for her.

A new baby in a year of change

News of Cardi’s baby arrived only hours after she posted an Instagram video to “Hello,” and reflected upon how her life has changed in terms of going through “different chapters and different seasons.” She indicated that she is currently in a “new season” which may include challenges; however, ultimately, the challenges are usually worth taking.

In addition to the new baby, Cardi referenced her children as being the source of motivation and energy for her to continue to remain focused and grounded. As she previously stated, “I brought new music and a new album to the world! I got a new baby in my world and one more reason to be the best version of myself. My babies are always motivating me to do better.”

As we know, Cardi announced the pregnancy via a September 17 CBS News interview with Gayle King, confirming that she and Diggs were having their first child together. She expressed her excitement at the moment, stating that she feels “strong,” “happy,” and “powerful,” all while balancing work and pregnancy. Additionally, she indicated that the baby would arrive prior to her 2026 tour.

Families expanding and changing priorities

Cardi is the mother of three children whom she shares with her husband rapper Offset: daughter Kulture, son Wave, and daughter Blossom, who was born in 2024. Cardi filed for divorce from Offset for the second time in 2024. Additionally, Diggs is also a father to a daughter from a past relationship.

Recently, motherhood has been a common topic in many of Cardi’s interviews. In an October 2024 episode of “On Purpose with Jay Shetty,” Cardi discussed her hopes and concerns about raising her kids. She explained that she wants to teach them to be disciplined and driven and to avoid becoming complacent.

“Please don’t be lazy. Please don’t be a bum,” she told Shetty. “Some people have the look, the brains, the talent. Some people truly do. However, they do not go anywhere with their lives because they are lazy.”

She mentioned that she will provide financial support to her children throughout their adult years. However, she expressed that she wishes her children would use her financial support to find a purpose. “Please become someone,” she said. “Don’t let me down like that.”
