Darius Rucker, the country music sensation, was taken into custody in Williamson County, Tennessee, on drug-related allegations, as stated by the sheriff’s office.

Rucker is reported to be facing charges of simple possession, casual exchange, and violation of registration law.

He secured his release on Thursday after posting a $10,500 bond.

Scheduled for a summer tour, Hootie & the Blowfish, the band to which Rucker belongs, is planning a stop at Bridgestone Arena on July 27.

Mark Puryear, Rucker’s attorney, affirmed that the artist is fully cooperating with authorities regarding the misdemeanor charges.
