Elle King opened up about her troubled relationship with her father, Rob Schneider, on Bunnie XO’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast.

In a teaser posted on TikTok, King criticized Schneider’s views on drag and the LGBTQ community, stating, “You’re talking out of your ass and you’re talking s— about drag and, you know, anti-gay rights. And it’s like, get f—ed.”

Schneider recently expressed outrage on X (formerly Twitter) over the Olympics opening ceremony, which he felt disrespected Christianity by featuring drag queens in a tableau resembling “The Last Supper.” He wrote, “I cannot watch an Olympics that disrespects Christianity and openly celebrates Satan,” and later added, “Guys with their genitalia hanging out in front of children?! Drag Queens?!”

King shared that she and her father were not close during her childhood and only reconnected when she was much older. Her childhood visits with Schneider often took place on movie sets, where she felt neglected. She recalled being sent to fat camp by her father and having to hide her tattoos, as Schneider was against any form of self-expression.

King stated she has no plans to mend their relationship, saying, “He’s just not nice.” She emphasized, “You can’t control anyone else’s actions and you can’t control people’s feelings. All you can control is how you react and what you do with your feelings.”

A representative for Schneider declined to comment.
