Elle Macpherson, the famed model, revealed in an interview with Australian Women’s Weekly that she has been living with breast cancer for seven years, choosing a holistic approach over chemotherapy. The 60-year-old model described the diagnosis as a shock and explained her decision to forgo traditional treatment, despite the difficulties and criticism she faced.

Macpherson, who has an upcoming book titled “elle”, acknowledged that her choice wasn’t easy and wasn’t for everyone, but it was one she felt deeply connected to. Her sons, Flynn and Cy, had differing views on her decision, with one opposing chemotherapy and the other uncomfortable with her alternative path. Despite these challenges, Macpherson says she is thriving today and considers herself in “utter wellness,” both physically and emotionally.

Macpherson’s medical team includes practitioners from various alternative medicine fields, and she remains a strong advocate of unconventional approaches to health. She has a history of supporting controversial figures, including her past relationship with Andrew Wakefield, a discredited physician known for promoting the false link between measles vaccines and autism.
