Jamie Foxx shared new insights into the health scare that hospitalized him in April 2023, explaining it started with a headache that quickly escalated into a medical emergency.

In a video circulating on social media, Foxx recounted the incident in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. He mentioned asking for an Advil for a bad headache and then suddenly losing consciousness for 20 days.

Foxx was in Atlanta when his sister and daughter took him to a doctor, where he received a cortisone shot. Another doctor identified a more serious issue, but Foxx refrained from detailing it on camera.

The 56-year-old actor, who has kept the specifics of his illness private, experienced the emergency while filming “Back in Action” in Atlanta. In July, he shared on Instagram about his ordeal, saying he “went to hell and back” but was recovering. At a December event, he revealed he had been unable to walk at one point.

Foxx credited his daughter, Corinne, and sister, Deidra Dixon, with saving his life, expressing gratitude for their support and the prayers from fans.
