Love Island USA Winners Amaya and Bryan Confirm Breakup

Amaya Espinal and Bryan Arenales, the winners of Love Island USA Season 7, have officially broken up! Amaya shared an Instagram story on Wednesday explaining, “Once we went home from the villa, it was evident we were both on two different journeys, visions didn’t align and relationships are suppose to be a team sport.” The note ended with a bit of poetic distance, “You don’t have to drink the whole sea to know it’s salty,” – signed Amaya Papaya.

Amaya’s statement comes just two days after the reunion aired. Bryan has not talked publicly about the end of their relationship, but based on a few things, for a lot of people it was evident their relationship and feelings for one other may have been hanging on by a thread. Both numb to aspects of the other’s world. In the period leading up to the reunion prep, Bryan and Amaya unfollowed each other on the gram. Pretty sure you don’t normally reflect that kind of instability at the reunion. During the reunion Bryan pushed back against cheating allegations, which started with the video of him at a nightclub surfaced. “I got paid to be there,” he told the panel. “I had a lapse in judgement. We’ve worked on it.” When one of the hosts pressed Bryan for more information about his lapse in judgement, he clarified, “pouring shots around, giving the crowd shots and stuff like that.” Bryan’s vagueness felt he needed a little same space to sit in his feelings about that night, which was clearly concerning.

That said, Amaya didn’t dwell either. Rather, she dismissed it outright for anything that had to do with standing for outright disrespect in her relationship. She spoke calmly, yet these words held so much purpose and weight. A Relationship That Could Not Sustain Itself

Viewers were rooting a couple would keep moving forward after their time in the villa, after Amaya said of Bryan in her TODAY.com interview after the show: “He always makes it a priority to make sure that we’re both ok,” and when she mentioned Bryan at the promotional photo shoot when they were asked about their time on the show.
