Country music star Morgan Wallen pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment after throwing a chair from the rooftop of Chief’s, a bar owned by fellow country singer Eric Church, in Nashville’s Broadway district. The incident, which occurred in April, resulted in a seven-day DUI education center sentence and two years of probation for the 31-year-old.

According to an arrest affidavit, the chair landed just three feet from police officers. Witnesses and security footage confirmed Wallen threw the chair and laughed afterward. He was arrested on April 8, booked into jail, and later released.

The singer of hits like “One Thing at a Time” publicly apologized on X (formerly Twitter), acknowledging his actions. “I’ve touched base with law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility,” he wrote.

Despite his legal troubles, Wallen’s career continues to soar. Last month, he was crowned Entertainer of the Year at the CMA Awards, a major milestone for the chart-topping artist.

This is not Wallen’s first controversy. In 2021, he was caught on video shouting a racial slur after a night of partying, leading to widespread backlash and a temporary pause in his career. He later addressed the incident in an interview, stating, “There’s no excuse, and I’ll never make one.”
