Law enforcement sources have revealed that the Nashville school shooting suspect, 17-year-old Solomon Henderson, may have been in contact with the Madison, Wisconsin, school shooter, 15-year-old Natalie Rupnow, through social media accounts.

Henderson fatally shot 16-year-old Josselin Corea Escalante and injured another student in the cafeteria at Antioch High School on Wednesday before taking his own life. Rupnow, who also died by suicide after a December school shooting in Madison, reportedly followed Henderson’s account, and the two appeared to share neo-Nazi and violent extremist ideologies, according to sources.

Authorities are investigating additional social media platforms linked to Henderson, including a BlueSky account with posts referencing Rupnow and plans for the shooting. A 51-page document shared by Henderson before the attack outlined violent white supremacist and antisemitic beliefs, along with affiliations with extremist online communities.

The Antioch High School’s AI weapon detection system, Omnilert, failed to spot the shooter’s gun due to its position but later alerted authorities when officers entered the school. Metro Nashville Public Schools emphasized that additional safety measures, including secure doors, resource officers, and drills, remain critical.

Henderson’s case highlights the dangers of extremist online communities fostering violent behavior, as investigators work to understand the connections and motivations behind these tragic events.
