Retired NFL star Randy Moss, 47, announced he is battling bile duct cancer in a heartfelt Instagram Live video. Moss shared that he underwent surgery, spent six days in the hospital, and is now recovering, though he still faces chemotherapy and radiation.

“Your boy is a cancer survivor,” Moss declared in the video, where he appeared with his two sons. He expressed gratitude to his family, ESPN colleagues, medical staff, and fans, especially children, for their prayers and support. “It went a long way,” he said.

Moss previously announced he was stepping away from ESPN to focus on his health. Now, he is launching a campaign, “Let’s Moss Cancer,” with proceeds from merchandise sales on his website going toward cancer research.

Best known for his dominance on the field with the Minnesota Vikings and Super Bowl appearances with the Patriots and 49ers, Moss holds the NFL’s second-most career touchdown catches (156) and ranks fourth in receiving yards (15,292). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
