Taylor Swift appeared to redirect her longstanding feud from Kim Kardashian to Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, with a subtle change to a song title from her album “The Tortured Poets Department.” The song, originally titled “thanK you aIMee,” emphasized the letters K, I, and M, seemingly targeting Kardashian. However, in a recent Taylor Nation announcement, the letters Y and E were highlighted, shifting the focus to Ye.

Swift’s complicated relationship with West dates back to 2010, when the rapper interrupted her MTV Video Music Awards speech. The tension escalated in 2016 with the release of West’s song “Famous,” in which he referred to Swift in derogatory terms. Although Kim Kardashian released an edited video suggesting Swift had approved the lyrics, a full version leaked in 2020 supported Swift’s claim that she was unaware of the controversial lyric.

In June, Swift performed a mashup of “thank You aimEe” and her 2010 hit “Mean” at Wembley Stadium, where she thanked the crowd and hinted that criticism only fuels her determination.
