At least 10 people were injured late Wednesday when three to four gunmen opened fire on a crowd outside a nightclub in Queens, New York, according to police. The attack occurred outside the Amazura nightclub on 144th Street in Jamaica, where a private event was underway.

The victims, six women and four men, are all expected to survive. Police are investigating potential gang ties to the incident but have ruled out terrorism.

Authorities received multiple 911 calls just after 11 p.m., reporting gunfire outside the club, which was at capacity with around 90 attendees. Approximately 15 others were waiting to enter when the suspects, described as males in their late teens to early 20s, approached and unleashed about 30 shots, striking at least 10 people.

No arrests have been made. “There’s zero tolerance for these senseless shootings,” NYPD Chief of Transportation Philip Rivera stated, pledging to bring those responsible to justice.

The shooting follows a deadly incident on New Year’s Day in New Orleans, where a man drove a truck into a crowd, killing 15 and injuring dozens in what authorities labeled an act of terror.
