Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is showing its appreciation to employees this Valentine’s Day by distributing generous bonuses through its profit-sharing program.

Hefty Bonuses for Employees

According to a release, employees are slated to receive a check amounting to 10.4% of their earnings, which equals over a month’s pay.

Impressive Revenue Leads to Significant Bonuses

With Delta amassing a remarkable $58 billion in revenue in 2023, the airline is able to provide substantial bonuses to its over 100,000 employees worldwide. Of the $1.4 billion designated for employee payments globally, Georgia workers are expected to receive $595 million.

Joanne Smith, Delta’s E.V.P. and Chief People Officer, emphasized the airline’s dedication to a people-first culture, tracing it back to the company’s founder, C.E. Woolman. Smith highlighted the importance of sharing successes within the organization, attributing this year’s $1.4 billion profit-sharing payment to the hard work and dedication exhibited by Delta employees each day.

Continued Success of Profit-Sharing Program

Since its inception in 2007, the profit-sharing program has distributed a total of $11 billion to Delta employees.
