Former Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide actor Tylor Chase has reunited with his longtime costar Daniel Curtis Lee after videos surfaced showing Chase experiencing homelessness in California.

Curtis Lee, who played Simon “Cookie” Nelson on the Nickelodeon series, reached out to Chase after seeing online footage documenting his situation. In a video shared on Instagram, Curtis Lee said he spent time with Chase, including sharing a meal and helping him secure temporary housing during the busy holiday period.

Support From Former Castmates

Curtis Lee said others from Chase’s past have also been involved in efforts to help. He noted that actor Shaun Weiss had worked with Chase’s family in an attempt to get him medical care, though Chase later declined to remain hospitalized.

During the visit, Curtis Lee also connected Chase via FaceTime with Devon Werkheiser, who starred as Ned Bigby on the show. Werkheiser has publicly expressed concern for Chase, saying he hopes renewed attention will lead to meaningful support.

“We all want a happy ending,” Werkheiser said in comments reported by TMZ, adding that it was painful to see his former costar struggling.

A Community Responds

Curtis Lee said Chase appeared encouraged by the response from fans and former colleagues, noting that the attention has helped him feel supported rather than forgotten. He added that he plans to continue checking in on Chase and assisting where possible.

Chase, who appeared on Ned’s Declassified during its original run from 2004 to 2007, has largely stayed out of the public eye in recent years. His situation has reignited broader conversations around mental health challenges and the long-term pressures faced by former child actors.

Friends and supporters say they hope the renewed visibility will connect Chase with sustained resources and professional care, allowing him to regain stability and rebuild his life.
