Super Bowl champion Terrell Davis received a “No Fly List” letter from United Airlines after he was wrongly accused of assaulting a flight attendant and removed from a flight in handcuffs. United has since apologized, stating the letter was automatically generated and promptly rescinded.

Davis, a Hall of Fame running back for the Denver Broncos, posted the letter on social media and criticized United for the incident, which he believes was racially motivated. United acknowledged the mistake and revealed the flight attendant involved no longer works for the airline.

On July 13, FBI agents and deputies met Davis after his flight from Denver landed in California. Davis explained that he lightly tapped a flight attendant’s arm to get his attention after his son requested ice, leading to the flight attendant accusing him of assault.

United Airlines issued a public apology, stressing their commitment to customer and crew safety. The FBI confirmed they responded to the allegation but released Davis after questioning.
